Home International Round-Up

The second weekend of the Home International season, took place in Scotland on 8-9 October, when Ireland just managed to beat Wales with critical points earned by Anastasia Mahlych, LVO tipping the balance towards Ireland. The results are on the BAOC website.

This weekend 5-6 November sees the final weekend of the 2022 Home Internationals, with Dan Earnshaw, LVO and Paul Pruzina, LVO running for the Ireland team at the Senior Home Internationals taking place in England.

Susan Lambe, LVO (SHI selector) writes: Good luck to Team Ireland heading over to England this weekend for the Senior Home Internationals. This is an annual competition between England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales, with teams consisting of 6 each M21 and W21, and 3 each M20 and W20.  We’re a bit of a smaller team this year, mainly because JWOC was rescheduled for the same weekend.  The plus side is there is lots of competition for us all to follow online.

The SHI team can look forward to a relay competition on Saturday, followed by individual on the Sunday as part of the November Classic weekend.

My thanks to my fellow selectors Dave Masterson & Philip Baxter, and to team manager Darren Burke.  The very best of luck to the whole team as they head off on their adventures:

  • M21 – Darren Burke, Aidan McCullough, Paul Pruzina, Laurence Quinn, Conor Short, Ruairi Short
  • M20 – Dan Earnshaw, Eoin Simpson
  • W21 – Niamh Corbett, Roisin Long, Toni O’Donovan
  • W20 – Ellie Simpson
