Feelin Fermanagh Blue
There was certainly blue on the map at Castle Archdale, but it was the blue of the autumnal sunny day that was noticed by competitors at NI Colour Series 6. However the courses were, as the pre-event notification did warn, rather green with perhaps the warmer than normal autumn keeping the undergrowth thriving for a few more weeks than normal. There were certainly a few competitors feeling blue at download with some rather long times being downloaded. Thanks to Robbie Bryson planner, Raymond Finlay organiser and controller Des Fletcher for courses that required accurate fine navigation. The results including RouteGadget are at Results>2022 Results.
With just one event to go in the 2022 NI Colour Series, the updated league table is now published, with most colours are still open for contention. David Blair and Jenny Orr join James Ewart and Aran Power as competitors who now cannot be beaten, but that leaves 10 other classes to be won at the final event of the series at Learmount Forest on Saturday 26 November. Do also have a look at the fixtures at Fixtures and Activities>Main Fixtures List as the dates and venues for the 2023 NI Colour Series League have been published.
Meanwhile there are still two events in the NI Urban League to be run on 20 November at Lisburn (note change of venue) and 18 December at Portadown.
