NI Orienteering May Triple

We have had 3 great consecutive weekends of NI Orienteering events to include 2 NIOA championship events and 2 league events, thanks to Fermanagh Orienteers and North West Orienteering Club.

The Sprint and Middle Distance Championships at Lisnaskea and Spring Grove Forest on 14 May confirmed our 2022 Northern Ireland Sprint Champions:

The NI Sprint Champs at Lisnaskea incorporated the first event of the new 2022 NI Urban Orienteering League and then it was up to the seaside at Portrush on Saturday 21 May for the second in the new league with Des Fletcher, NWOC planning challengeing courses though the alleyways of Portrush town.

Then it was back down to Co Fermanagh again on 21 May for tough and challenging forest NI Colour Series courses planned by Philip McGoldrick at Florencecourt.

The results for are all NI events are at Results>2022 Results, including RouteGadget, Splitsbrowser and Winsplits analysis. The updated league tables for the 2022 Colour Series League and the new 202 NI Urban Orienteering League are expeceted to be published shortly.

After a few weeks of a break to enjoy local club events and activities, we are then off for the Tollymore Orienteering Festival, which this year will include an NI Urban League event at Dundrum on Friday 24 June, followed by a NI Colour Series event at Castlwellan on Saturday 25 June with of course the camping weekend and BBQ at Tollymore all organised by LVO and open to all.
