Wet Wet Wet!

With a little help from our friends at NWOC, a fine NI Open Champs 2018 was held at Pomeroy Forest in testing conditions on Saturday 13 October.

Setting off from the start wishing I was lucky certainly wasn’t a good approach, which would only lead to somewhere somehow searching in the circle. What was needed was a cool cool head along with a cool cool heart. No doubt some competitors were wondering if I never see you again with some who gave in to sweet surrender.

However back in the refreshment tent love was all around with tasty morsels from the junior kitchen, chat from fellow competitors and prizes for the class winners who broke away. From all the competitors there was more than love for the officials Anthony McGonigle, David Blair and Steven Linton and helpers from NWOC.

Results from the event including routegadget are at Results>2018. The formal prize giving will be between the NI Score and NI Night Champs next February.

A reminder that the final NI Colour Series event of the year at Tyrella has a change of date to 17 November and a strict requirement of pre-registration (but not pre-payment) for anyone who even might intend to run, spectate or accompany. Full details of the pre-registration requirements are at the event page on the LVO website.
