Seskinore Settles the Season

Neither Arwen nor Omicron were able to stop the final NI Colour Series of the year, at Seskinore Forest on Saturday 27 November. Reports were of testing courses, twisting and turning in all directions and making great use of a small area. There was competition on many courses with leaders striving to gain enough points to hold off the competition. Leaders on the league changed for Brown Women, Blue Men and Short Green Men. Thanks are to the Fermanagh Orienteers officials planner Teresa Finlay, controller Philip McGoldrick and organiser Raymond Finlay. The results including Routegadget, Winsplits, Splitsbrowser and BOF ranking points are on the Results>2021 Results page.

So that wraps up a full 2021 season of Northern Ireland events, with eventually all 6 colour series and 5 championship being held in what was not a normal year. Thanks are due to everyone who make it happen. In addition to officials we need to thank on the day helpers for registration, start, download, control collecting, plus before the event, fixtures coordination and registration, entry set up, mappers, printers, equipment checkers, transporters and then afterwards results and reporting.

Reporting includes the compilation of the NI Colour Series 2021 League Table, computed by Alan Gartside. Do have a look at your score and set yourself a personal achievement target for 2022! Next year the plan is for 7 colour series events, as well as 5 championship events which are already registered on the Fixture List. Some venues are still to be confirmed, but do get the dates into your diaries.
