Fast Furious and Friendly FermO Foray

Fast Furious and Friendly FermO Foray

Sunny skies and mild temperatures welcomed orienteers to two new mapped venues on Saturday 12 May. Ecclesville Park invited fast sprint legs until the course entered the forest when of course the trick was to slow down a little. Then after the well attended NI Orienteering AGM, the carpark emptied for the short drive to Seskinore Forest where there was such a convivial atmosphere as everyone queued to start within a 20 minute start window. Sesknore delivered a good middle distance event where those who were able to keep in constant touch with the map performed well.

Double NI Championshop winners were Mark Stephens, Stephanie Pruzina, Michael Burton, Aoife McGoldrick, Heather Cairns and Ann Savage, with Odhran McGoldrick, Simon Reeve and Anne Bell winning the Sprint Championships with Peter Reed, Richard Vasey, Rebecca Linton and Barbara Foley-Fisher declared Middle Distance Champions. Full results, including RouteGadget, Splitsbrowser, Winsplits and BOF Ranking Points are at Results>2018 Results.

Thanks are due to Fermanagh Orienteers for a providing great day of fast, furious and friendly orienteering.
