Northern Schools NI Orienteering Assessment
Northern Schools NI Orienteering Assessment – Ulster University Coleraine Campus
On Monday 26 January, the first Northern Ireland Schools Orienteering Assessment for schools situated in the North Coast was successfully delivered at the Coleraine campus of Ulster University.
Despite a cold wind, participants were fortunate to dodge the forecast rain showers, allowing the assessment to run smoothly throughout the day. The event was delivered with fantastic support from North West Orienteering Club, alongside Ulster University Outdoor Adventure students and staff, whose expertise and enthusiasm played a key role in its success.
The assessment provided an engaging and practical learning experience, with pupils, students and staff all gaining valuable skills and confidence in orienteering delivery and assessment. Most importantly, the day was marked by a positive atmosphere, plenty of enjoyment, and a strong sense of shared learning across all involved.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this inaugural assessment such a success which we hope to build on next year.
