Excellent Turnout at a Windswept Drumkeeragh

Marshals on car park duty had perhaps the worst experience at Drumkeeragh for the first Colour Series event of 2024. With driving rain sweeping across the area, conditions did become more bearable once in the forest. Especially given the harsh conditions, there was an excellent turnout of just over 100 competitors.

Thanks to Olivia Baxter for planning challening courses in this compace byt technical forest, controlled by Helen Baxter. Joe McClure was on top of his role as organiser having to plan for a sweep search for an overdue competitor. Thankfully the competitor did return uninjured just as the search team were about to head off. All participants are reminded that the course closing times are set for a reason.
