Landscapes NI Survey
As we enter a New Year, we have hopes and plans for many more Orienteering events and activities for 2026. Orienteering relies on good relationships with and permission from landowners to use their land. We can not take access for granted, so we need to continue to make our voice heard and put pressure on decision makers to ensure we can enjoy our sport for many years to come.
Landscapes NI support the development of and access to outdoor recreation. So, if you have 5 minutes, please complete this sort survey which will help them understand sectoral views on landscapes in Northern Ireland. Mike McClure has shared this:
In 2026 we are seeking to develop a new Landscape Strategy for Northern Ireland and the data from this survey will really help in that respect. We would be really keen to get a strong response from the sport and recreation sector again this year. We had a great response to the survey last year with over 270 responses and I am keen to exceed that this year. Your members are key users of our landscapes – so great to get a strong set of responses from them and I’d love to get more orienteers to complete the survey.
