Four Scales of Green
Planners and Controllers are asked to note several changes to the specification for the NI Colour Series League for 2026:
For the benefit of our older veteran members who request a technical challege but a lesser physical challenge, where feasible a Very Short Green course should be offered. This could possibly be a variant of the Short Green course, omiting several controls. However as with the White course, the Very Short Green course will not be eligible for competitive points.
The default scale is 10:10,000. However to assist veterans, the scale for the Short Green and Very Short Green course should be 1:7500. As the Green course is typically run by both veterans and progressing juniors and seniors, where possible maps printed at both 1:10000 and 1:7500 should be offered.
