Blue Skies at Gosford

The sun was shining over the Orchard County on 19 March making for a beautiful spring day, attracting an excellent turnout at Gosford Forest Park for the first event of the 2022 NI Colour Series. Benefitting from a recently resurveyed map, the full offering of 8 colour coded courses provided something for everyone; from local folk trying orienteering for the first time on the White, Yellow and Orange courses to progressing orienteers on the light Green course to experienced competetitors on the technical Green, Blue and Brown courses. The longer courses twisted and turned to visit the best of the forest, whilst avoiding the worst of the bracken which appeared to be growing even during the event.
