Summer Helpers

Summer Helpers

Do you have a day free in the summer and fancy helping deliver an orienteering activity to the wider community?

Then read on!

With Summer Council and Community schemes, there are plenty of opportunities for us to help our sport reach a wider audience over the summer.

You will be working along side NI Development Officer, Ric Gamble, planning and delivering simple courses and activities for the general public to enjoy. There is funding available to cover helpers planning and delivery time and travel expenses.

Here are dates that are already in the calendar:

Mount Stewart: Tue 21 July, Wed 22 July and Wed 5 Aug. These are all 11am-3pm day time activities.

Greenhill YMCA, Newcastle: Mon 3 Aug, 2-5pm.

If you can help out either with planning or delivery of activities on these days (or part of the day) or are interested in finding out about other dates during the summer, please let Ric know on: 07717297676 or rdo@niorienteering.org.uk

Note: although beneficial, no coaching, planning or delivery experience required, so a great opportunity to learn new things. You just need to be a friendly and helpful British Orienteering member (16+ years).
