Colour Series Prologue
There is an extra opportunity to earn points in the Northern Ireland Colour Series League as a prologue event will count for points. The Leinster League event on Sunday 1 March at Castleblaney, Co Monaghan will be incorporated into the NI Colour Series League. As the event is on a Sunday start times for pre-entered competitors will be extended until 14:00. A Short Green course will be available which will count for points in the NI Colour Series, but the Red course which is a standard course on the Leinster League is not part of the NI Colour Series.
All the details are on the Orienteering Ireland event page, with entries open on Wednesday 18 February 2026 at 11:00 and close on Saturday 28 February at 18:00. With then potentially 8 opportunites to earn points, points from the best 4 events will still be included.
Once entries open, entries are via the Orienteering.ie entry system. Go to the event page and then enter via the button that will appear at the top of the page when entries are open.
Also note from the fixtures list that the Colour Series that was scheduled for Saturday 7 March has been postponed, with a LVO Spring Cup event to be substituted on 7 March at Castleward.
