Amy Stonewalls the Irish Vets
Storm Amy made the trip over to Scotland in record time last weekend, but sadly the majority of the Ireland Veteran Home International did not, due to cancelled ferries and flights. Only 10 members of the Ireland team were able to make the trip to Loch Ard Forest and Fairy Knowe & Doon Hill. Therefore sadly the hotly contested Stonewall Trophy, which was won last year on home turf, has gone back again to Wales with a score on the results table of 143 to Wales to Ireland’s 48 points. Sadly then Ireland cannot also retain the “Triple Crown” of beating Wales at Junior, Senior and Veteran levels. The Juniors are the last to play this year on 11-12 October running on the sand dunes and hillsides of South Wales.
