WEE 2014 Event 7: Six Mile Water

A big thankyou to everyone that came along to support our 7th WEE of the season in sunny Ballyclare.

Thanks to Lyle for planning and Angie for organising what was a smoothly run event. We almost lost the first control of the short course but thankfully it was locked to a tree so only the post was broken. We also managed to retrieve most of the Runners on Road signs which the locals had helpfully dispersed.

As usual thanks go to Gavin in particular and his helpers for managing the IT side of things so well and to Stephanie for so ably running the starts. Thanks to Philip for bringing along his camera again and capturing some of the enjoyment of orienteering on film. Also to those who collected in controls or helped in any way – your contribution is very much appreciated.

Hope to see lots of familiar faces and perhaps a few new ones at Belfast Castle next week where Trevor Martin has 2 great courses planned – still league positions to compete for !!
