Get started with MapRun6

MapRun6 is an app gaining popularity, which allows you to set courses for yourself and also courses that can be followed by others. To get started, go to the Google Play or App store and download MapRun6F. (Make sure that you don’t download the older MapRunF or MapRun by mistake).

After setting up your user details, try to create a test course for yourself in your neighbourhood. To do that touch the green button on the bottom right of your screen and then touch QuickStart Event. You should then be able to zoom in on an aerial photograph centred on where you are. Then add a start, controls and a finish to create a course for yourself. Just be sure to call the start S1, then the controls 1, 2, 3 etc and the finish F1. Then save your event giving it a name, go back to the home page, go to your start location and touch Go to Start. Navigate around your course and your phone should buzz at each control. You can read more detailed instructions on the MapRun6 website.
