They Call Me Mellow Yellow?

There wasn’t much mellow about the predominately yellow map at Tyrella on our last event of the Northern Ireland Colour Series on 17 November. The results are at Results>2018 Results. A quick check over through the Winsplits shows plenty of pink splits indicating mistakes and Splitsbrowser (which can be found within Routegadget by clicking on the Splitsbrowser icon) similarly shows almost all runners with sharp dips in the line, again indicating mistakes aplenty.

Top marks however to the team of Mark Stephens (planner), Gordie Mahood (organiser) and Gordon Stephens (controller) and on-the-day helpers for producing an excellent and testing competition, on an area which brings many challenges with the access arrangements, not only on the day but particularly during the planning process.

The final league tables for the 2018 NI Colour Series League are now available at Results>NI Colour Series League. Thanks to Alan Gartside for calculating the points throughout the season and congratulations to the winners of each colour. The prizegiving will be between the NI Score and NI Night Champs at Ecclesfield, Fintona on Saturday 9 February 2019.

Dates for next year’s NI Colour Series and Championship events are available for your 2019 diary at Fixtures>Registered Events. Work is currently underway to produce a more user friendly fixture list.
