Another Look Ahead at Fixtures
Clearly the restrictions around both sport and travel are more severe that we had anticipated towards the end of last year. Therefore the fixture list is currently suspended. The NI Orienteering committee will meet again on 23 February and review the situation. However in the meantime we can advise:
- The NI Orienteering Champs 2020 which was scheduled for 13 March at The Burren hosted by Fermanagh Orienteers will become the 2021 Championships on 16 October.
- The NI Night Champs which was scheduled for 20 February at Portglenone hosted by Lagan Valley Orienteers will be rescheduled for 27 March if permissions and restrictions permit. This is the last possible date before the clock change and will require starts from 19:45.
- There has been planning for the NI Score Champs at Parkanaur, NI Colour Series 1 at Drum Manor and NI Colour Series 2 at Crossmurrin. These events will not take place as scheduled. Possibilities for rescheduling will be discussed on 23 February.
- All remaining fixtures should be regarded as provisional.
We all look forward to getting back to events whenever we can, following strict protocols which have proven to work well.
