Drum Manor results

The results are in for the first NI Colour Series League of the 2018 held at Drum Manor on Saturday 7 April, on what was apparently the warmest day of the year so far! Certainly the weather was a pleasant contrast from the snowy conditions which led to the postponement of the event from 3 March. Thanks to North West Orienteering Club for hosting the event and for Ursula and team providing refreshments to support the NI Junior squad.

Mark Earnshaw claims the first ever Short Green Course win on a NI Colour Series League Short Green course. The Short Green has been designed to give our veteran competitors a shorter but still challenging course. It also serves as a suitable course for progressing orienteers moving up from Light Green to Green.

It has been particularly pleasing to note that in every other colour our younger competitors have taken the lead with Mark Stephens (M21) in Brown, Daniel Earnshaw (M16) in Blue, Ross Walker (M35) in Green, Garbhan McGoldrick (M12) in Light Green, Peter Gamble (M12) in Orange, Ruby Linton (M10) in Yellow and Tori Hampton (W10) in White.

The results may be found at Results>2018 Results.

We look forward to an exiting series of competitions ahead. Remember there is a Colour suitable for everyone at a NI Colour Series League event!
