Post-Event Report
Once again a great evenings orienteering. Thanks to Billy and Wilbert for creating challenging and enjoyable courses, to the Reed family for registration and picnic, and to Philip and Declan for keeping the IT live. Getting the hang of it now... roll on Belfast.
InstructionsThe third of the WEE series moves to the picturesque grounds and surrounding areas of Carnfunnock Country Park. The Country Park covers 191 hectares of mixed woodland, colourful gardens, waymarked walking trails and stunning coastline. The area around the carpark has numerous paths with some small areas of woodland while the longer course enters more extensive woodland to the West and is fairly steep in parts.
Two courses will be available - the long course is 4.5 km. with 140m climb and the short course is 2.2 km. with 50m climb.
Registration will take place in the car park from 6.30 pm, with starts from 7.00 pm until 7:45 pm. The courses will close at 8.30 pm. The start is a short walk from the car park and will be marked with red and white tape.
The entry fee is £2 for LVO club members and £4 for non-LVO club members. This fee includes a pre-printed map and also hire of a SportIdent Card (also know as a SI Card or dibber) if required for the night. Please reuse your map bag for all WEE events.

DirectionsCarnfunnock Country Park is clearly signposted from Larne Town Centre. Follow the signs and drive along the Coast Road (A2), through Drains Bay and the Park entrance is half a mile on the left.
