Car parking is in a small car park at Cavehill Country Park off the Hightown Road. This is approached from the Horseshoe bend or from Glengormley (see Multimap). Registration,which is from 6.45pm is some 400m East of this carpark,down a well surfaced track. The competition area consists of small fields and hedgerows along with open hillside.Vegetation cover is quite extensive with some long grass and on the hillside gorse cover has extended beyond the areas mapped.There is a system of major and minor paths running through the area. Both courses on offer involve some climb.Weather permitting you will be rewarded with some fine views over Belfast.
