Antrim Forum

Event 11 will be in at the Antrim Forum on Wednesday 24th August. This is a new map, and will be the first event that LVO organise on it.

The Start and Finish for WEE-11 are in the Clotworthy Arts Centre car park - NOT at the Antrim Forum.
Travel Directions: From the M2/M22 junction with the A26 (Ballymena Road), head south on the A26 towards Antrim town centre. After 2 miles, at the 3rd roundabout (near the centre of Antrim), turn right along the A6, signposted to Randalstown. After 300 yards, turn left towards the Clotworthy Arts Centre and follow the road through to the car park. From the south, Follow the A26 past the Antrim Forum, over the Six Mile Water river bridge to the A6/A26 roundabout and turn left towards Randalstown. Thereafter follow directions as above.

The area is very flat and course lengths will be 4.5 km and 1.8km on a map of scale 1:4,000. The short course will not be constrained to paths as the terrain is relatively simple. Runners on the longer course will complete two laps of the area, crossing the river 4 times. So, care will be required to visit the controls in the correct order, although the course overprint has been designed to minimise confusion. Be prepared to encounter a few nettles and a dizzying ascent on the long course.
