Most of the juniors went first to control 164 and then went on
west and north. I decided to go south after 164 because there
seemed to be many points in the fields there. I was soon running
on my own as none of the other juniors went this way.
Most of these controls were quite easy and I always knew where
I was, but I did make a mistake at control 178 as I went to the
northern thicket first. Between 178 and 179 I didn’t notice
the style marked on the map so I went a longer way around.
I got back to the start too soon, because I was not sure what time
we went off at and thought it was at 12:00. If I had more time I
would have gone to the fields to the south-east, but some of them
look quite tricky. Maybe I was safer being back early!
