| LVO Training Evenings are on Wednesdays usually in the Belfast area. In September the WEST (Wednesday Evening Skills Training) provides adult coaching while the WENT (Wednesday Evening Night Training) is on alternate weeks starting in November. On other Wednesdays there are fitness and navigation sessions at The Dub Pavilion in Queen’s Sports Grounds hosted by QUBOC. These sessions begin with a run at about 6pm followed by a half hour navigation session at 7pm and a strength and conditioning session after that. You can join in at any point; you do not have to do the whole session. The fitness fanatics go for a longish (8km) run but others keep it short to save energy for later!
The Dub sessions finish with tea & biscuits and a chat. All standards of fitness are welcome. Currently the training sessions are free to members and cost £4 for non-members. If you have a head torch it is worth bringing it plus a change of shoes & socks for the indoor work (strength & conditioning).
Occasionally fitness training may be replaced by a First Aid course or Organising and Planning Evenings. Keep an eye on the LVO message site for the latest information with start times or any other changes.
