Autumn Workshop Programme
NI Orienteering is pleased to announce a new programme of Autumn Workshops designed to help those involved orienteering. The 3 workshops will be held in the Royal School Dungannon, starting at 7.30pm as follows:
Tue 12th September: Making Simple Adjustments to Maps in OCAD
This workshop is aimed at planners of all ability, from absolute novice to relatively experienced and will provide help in understanding how to make minor adjustments to maps (for example, adding or removing a path, adjusting edges of thickets or reflecting changes created by felling) that planners discover as they prepare for events. If you are interested in attending (and all are welcome) please let Stephen know via secretary’at’niorienteering.org.uk.
TUE 17th October (note change of date): Introduction to LIDAR in NI
This workshop is aimed at club mappers – and those who want to find out what mapping involves – and will introduce the use of LIDAR in the production of maps. If you are interested in attending (and all are welcome) please let Stephen know via secretary’at’niorienteering.org.uk.
Mon 20th November: Coaching Ideas
If you are a current coach or might be interested in becoming a coach, this is the workshop for you. We will get together and swap coaching ideas and plans in order to spread and deepen the range of coaching expertise available to clubs and members alike. If you are interested in attending (and all are welcome, whether or not you are already a coach) please let Philip know via publicity’at’niorienteering.org.uk.
