Schools League Event 4 at Castlewellan

Congratulations to all the brave souls who turned out for the NISOA event at Castlewellan. We managed to have sunshine and rain at the same time but mostly rain. Dry feet were not an option – in at least 2 cases shoes were left in puddles/marshes. Congratulations must go to the teams of Reuben Graham and Daniel Burke and Ellie Parkhill and Sara Kelly from Down High Prep who won the M/W10 classes respectively in under 8 minutes. Courses were a little shorter than usual due to one area being closed off because of storm damage. Everyone should be congratulated for taking part on a very soggy day.

Membership Reminder

Have you paid your membership for 2013? If not you need to make sure you do it soon otherwise you are not entitled to the £2 discount on entry to events. If you have paid (or think you have) you should have had an email from British Orienteering with a downloadable membership card. You need to print this off to prove membership. If you didn’t get an email your membership may not be renewed – you need to check with BOF – there has been some confusion with renewals due to the new membership system. It will save you money!
